Ruth: Brave

He said, “Who are you?”  And she answered, “I am Ruth, your servant.  Spread your wings over your servant, for you are a redeemer.”  Ruth 3:9

This is the part of Ruth’s story that gets me every time.  Naomi told her to lay at Boaz’s feet.  Yes, that’s right.  Ruth was obedient, as we discussed earlier this week, but she was also pretty brave because this little act of laying at the feet takes some gumption.  Even before this scene she’s brave because she follows her mother-in-law to a land that is foreign to her, works in a field that isn’t hers, and then this!?

Questions:

1.  Would you classify yourself as brave?
2.  Why or why not?
3.  Pray God will make you brave in your daily life.
